Riders on Video

Here's something that is a little bit different than the usual blog post. If you enjoy watching videos and would like to watch a different horse related video every week, then you're in luck. I've discovered a relatively new YouTube channel that talks about most things horses.

Whether your discipline is dressage, hunter, jumper or cross-country, Evention will have something for you. Dom and Jimmie Schramm are two riders in the eventing discipline. They post videos every week about almost everything equine in a fun yet informative way, not to mention that their videos are great quality.

Their videos are usually composed of three parts; the week's video topic, Schrammo's Shout Out and the Tip of the Day. Schrammo's Shout Out is a short shout out to a non profit equine charity. The Tip of the Day segment is where either Dom or Jimmie will talk for a few seconds about a helpful tip that usually is related to the video's topic.

They have been awarded the Best Newcomer Award in the Equine Social Media Awards and was also placed third in the Best YouTube Channel. That's pretty outstanding considering they only started their YouTube channel in September 2012. Here is a short video of Dom and Jimmie accepting the Best Newcomer Award: click here.

If you would like to watch more videos from Evention, you can click here to go to their YouTube Channel. They also have a Facebook page, which you can click here to visit that. To see their Schramm Equestrian website, just click here.

Please share this post as well as their websites above if you think they deserve more viewers like I do. Oh, and a little tip, keep watching their videos until the end. Sometimes they leave bloopers of the episode after the credits for us to enjoy.

So there you have it, a short blog post to end your weekend. I hope you are all doing well and I wish you all the best on your equine adventures. Thank you for reading.

  Until next time, happy riding!
